Grace and Mr Milligan has been judged a 2024 Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Notables book. The CBCA awards have been awarded annually since 1946 to promote books of high literary and artistic quality, and it’s a thrill to have our book included in the 2024 Notables list.

I’m excited to be launching LITTLE MATILDA AND THE LOST BUNNY on Sunday 3rd March, 2.30pm at Escape Hatch Books in Kew East. There will be singing, dancing, bubbles, cake and smiles. Everyone is welcome to this free event, but please RSVP to info@escapehatchboxes.com.au

  -26 October 2023 Caz Goodwin and Meredith Costain had the pleasure of judging the Nance Donkin Award for Children’s Literature. Congratulations to the winner, Pamela Rushby, author of over 200 books for children.

-August 2023 Little Matilda and I had so much fun visiting lots of schools during CBCA Book Week.

-August 2023 Authors Caz Goodwin, Tristan Bancks, Kate Foster and Meredith Costain, along with ASLA President Martha Itzcovitz, talking about engaging kids in books and reading in a digital world.

-28 May The Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) is a terrific literary festival in Singapore. Pip Kruger and I were thrilled to launch our book, GRACE AND MR MILLIGAN at the festival. It was lovely to meet so many young children as we read our book and did craft activities following the launch. 

-11 May 2023 Little Matilda, Shaney Hyde and I visited Monash Children’s Hospital to bring smiles to sick children. There was singing, dancing, surprises and of course we read LITTLE MATILDA GOES TO HOSPITAL.

-15 May 2023 The Armadale Primary School Festival was a lot of fun and a touch crazy, just like these authors and illustrators. One thing we have in common—we love talking to kids about books, writing and illustrating.

-23 April 2023 Pip Kruger and I were delighted to have Janeen Brian launch our picture book, GRACE AND MR MILLIGAN in the Adelaide Hills. It was wonderful to have so many little ones celebrate with us too.
