While I was in Sydney for the launch of Wombat Dreaming, I popped into Dymocks to sign some books and discovered Wombat Dreaming was no. 5 on their best-sellers lists. It was a delightful surprise.
The Sydney launch of Wombat Dreaming at Gleebooks in Glebe was a joyous occasion. Lots of children’s book enthusiasts came along, including two librarians who travelled from the Hunter Valley for the event. Children’s librarians are the best!
Illustrator Zoe Bennett and I were excited to launch Wombat Dreaming in Melbourne at Escape Hatch Books in June. Lil loves doing yoga with her friends, but some poses aren’t easy when you’re a roly-poly wombat with short legs. An affirming story to remind us of our individual and unique talents.
Speech Pathology Australia has shortlisted A Wish for Baby in the Book of the Year Awards, 2025. This gentle picture book is a celebration of a new baby’s arrival, and all the hopes and dreams for a little one’s future. The perfect gift to welcome a new baby to the world.
The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) awarded Grace and Mr Milligan as a 2024 Honour Book in the Early Childhood category. The illustrator Pip Kruger and I were delighted to go to Sydney to accept the award.

I’m excited to reveal the cover for my new book, A Wish for Baby, illustrated by award-winning illustrator Sara Acton and published by Affirm Press. The book will be released on 30th July 2024.
Grace and Mr Milligan has been shortlisted for the 2024 Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year (Years 5-8). The winner will be announced at the end of October 2024.
