The Burnside Library event for children in Adelaide, which was organised by the May Gibbs Literature Trust, was a great success. It was sold out ahead of time, and twenty-five children came along to hear stories about a lazy koala, from my books Lazy Daisy and Daisy Runs Wild. Tania from the library was gracious enough to get inside the giant koala costume, and she did a marvellous job performing as Daisy the koala. She even snored in all the right places. The children then made some koala collages with felt, cardboard, cotton wool balls and felt pens.
