I’m excited that LITTLE MATILDA has been shortlisted for the Book of the Year 2022 by Speech Pathology Australia. To be listed alongside Mem Fox, Emily Rodda and Alison Lester is such a thrill. My shiny round Shortlisted Book of the Year stickers have arrived, and they make me so happy. It’s like being back in grade 1 and getting a ‘good work’ stamp.

Writer in residence at portsea

I spent two weeks as a Writer in Residence at Point Nepean in Portsea, Victoria, thanks to the Mornington Peninsula Shire. It was a wonderful opportunity to stop, breathe, reflect, write, write, write and soak up the surrounds of the beautiful Point Nepean National Park.
