The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in SA held ‘A Day in the Park’ for members to catch up and write and/or draw the beautiful grounds of Carrick Hill in the Adelaide foothills. In perfect weather, we enjoyed chatting and sharing ideas in the café, before venturing into the sunshine to the Children’s Story Book Trail. We saw Ratty’s boat, a Hobbit’s home, gates to the Secret Garden and Wilbur and Charlotte’s web. It was an enchanting afternoon in stunning gardens. It’s well worth a visit.
